The 1st Water Polo team travelled to East London on Wednesday 15 February to play against Selborne College. The team stepped up to the challenge and played some clinical water polo and beat Selborne 11-6. Connor Wells was solid in goals and Jason Dovey scored some great goals from the perimeter.
The full Club then travelled to East London on Saturday 18 February for a full set of fixtures and achieved some great results.
Notable performances of the day included some really great victories by the 5th and 4th teams against the Selborne 4th team, an exciting penalty shootout in the 3rd team game (with Michael Peterson, Patrick Wingfield and Philip Maske all scoring from the spot) and a clinical 6-4 victory by the 2nd team. The U15As also had an exciting sudden death penalty shootout in their final game losing 2-1 and the team needs to be commended for their discipline in defence.
The U14A Team travelled to Cape Town to play in the annual Pitcairn Cup at Reddam House. It was always going to be a tough weekend with the top schools from Cape Town participating. The team improved from game to game, but the lack of fitness let them down.
