The Cawse Library

The Cawse Library

OUR SCHOOL LIBRARY

Centre for Reading, Learning and Innovation.

The Cawse Library: Centre for Reading, Learning and Innovation” is constantly occupied by happy bodies. The library features three seminar rooms, reading areas equipped with comfortable bean bags, a café bar area with a brand-new coffee machine, a Digital Media/Makerspace with green screens and a 3D Printer, and computer workstations to support research. The library also features both collaborative and individual study spaces. Another favourite feature is the covered verandah overlooking Upper Field. Boys are often seen studying or relaxing on the balcony or simply enjoying the view.

THE CAWSE LIBRARY

Our Vision

“Without libraries, what have we? We have no past and no future.” Ray Bradbury
In 2017 a new name was introduced: “The Cawse Library Centre for Reading, Learning and Innovation.”
The library is about connecting boys to knowledge, encouraging collaborations, building collections that speak to the changing needs of our pupils, accessibility of information resources “anywhere, anytime”, encouraging and promoting reading, and promoting the culture of leadership amongst the boys.
