The St Andrew’s College/DSG Chamber Choir took part in the Annual Masicule Choir Festival on March 13 and 14, 2022 to a wonderful reception from the audience.
The National Arts Festival is proud to present this premium recording of Masicule 2022 with a live audience, as it took place on 14 March 2022 in the Guy Butler Theatre in Makhanda. MASICULE – National Arts Festival
Masicule is the flagship annual celebration of the voices of Makhanda and beyond. Now in its 9th year, the 2022 edition of Masicule brought together voices from Kwantu Choir, Attivo Choral Choir, Cathedral Choir, EastCape Midlands College Choir, Graeme College, PJ Olivier Hoërskool, Kutliso Daniels Secondary School, Rhodes University, Mary Waters High School, Nelson Mandela University, Nathaniel Nyaluza High School, Nombulelo Secondary School, St Andrew’s College, Diocesan School for Girls (DSG) and Victoria Girls High School in a powerful celebration of song. The mass choirs were led by the inimitable Sibongile Ngoma who was the Masicule 2022 Guest Artist.
