Welcome to the Armstrong House Family and specifically to Ingleside, the Armstrong Grade 8 House.
I was born and grew up in Grahamstown and was schooled at Kingswood College. After studying at UCT, I joined Old Mutual where I qualified and worked as an actuary. At the age of 40 I sensed a strong call to go into teaching. I took a leap of faith, left the corporate world and relocated with my family to Grahamstown. I completed my PGCE at Rhodes in 2009 and took up a position in the Mathematics Department at St Andrew’s College the following year. I was appointed Deputy Housemaster of Armstrong during 2012 and take care of the Armstrong Grade 8s.
I am married to Belinda and we have four sons Matthew (just matriculated), Nic (Grade 11), Ben (Grade 8) and Joe (Grade 3). Belinda is involved in the life of Ingleside and Armstrong. She is a homemaker at heart and ensures that together we make Ingleside a place where happy memories are made.
