T o further an all-round and diverse education, all boys and expected to participate actively in the cultural and extra-mural programme. At the start of the year, the boys are introduced to the various clubs and societies on offer, they view videos and have access to the Clubs and Societies booklet, which provides details of all the activities on offer. Each pupil is expected to become involved in these activities on at least two days each week at the allocated times.

Community Service clubs include various community service projects, sports coaching, First Aid, and the President‘s Award.

General interest clubs and societies include: Chess, Copernicans, Current Affairs, Debating, Design, Dramatics, Ballroom Dancing, Round Square, Gaming and Coding, Library Monitors, Marketing Club, Film Club, Environmental, Student Christian Association, Gym, various Music opportunities, Pipe Band, Exploration, Surfing and X-Art and so much more.

Musical ensembles include the Chapel Choir, Chamber Choir, Baseline 16, Jazz Band, Marimba Group, Rock Band, Pipe Band Wind Band and the String Ensemble.

Exploration Society activities include various outdoor expeditions, and the following clubs: Cycling, Golf, Fishing, Scuba Diving and Surfing.

There are three ‘closed’ societies for senior boys. Membership is by invitation to the Alchemists, the Astronomers and Cornish clubs.
