Golf: College and the Nemato Golf Foundation

The College golf team played in a friendly fixture against the local boys of Nemato Golf Foundation at the Royal Port Alfred Golf Club on Sunday 28 January.
In the Seniors’ Division, the boys witnessed a fierce battle against their opponents, each player giving it their best to end the game with decent scores. Ethan Bradfield showcased a stellar performance, which placed him in a comfortable second-best score of 77, followed by Matthew Harvey at 82. The overall performance of the first group was notable, despite Nemato winning by 4 points.
The second group of seniors delivered an impressive display on the course. Chris Johnson and Callum McMurray led the team with a fantastically, contributing to a decent set of scores. Although the second group faced tough opponents, they managed to secure a narrow margin, with Nemato winning by just 1 point.
In the Juniors’ Division, the boys demonstrated resilience and determination in their game which saw Callum Taggart lead the charge by an outstanding score of 78, Sebastian Steffny closely followed with a score of 81, and Ethan Malan at 84. The juniors exhibited tremendous potential and dedication throughout the game without compromising, which saw them victorious against Nemato.
The fixture took place on a beautiful and sunny day, providing an exciting round of golf, which concluded with Nemato claiming victory in both senior groups. It was a well-fought match, and the boys can be proud of their performance. This was their first time, and not the last, competing against the Nemato Golf Foundation. Well done to all the boys who participated on this past Sunday.
