St Andrew’s College cricket vs Graeme College

St Andrew’s College was involved in a tight tussle on Saturday vs Graeme College on Lower field. Graeme bowled superbly as a unit and the College batsmen found scoring tough. Pace bowlers, Marcus Williams (3/24) and Ethan Bokbaard kept it tight up front, while Murray Tyson (3/65) kept the pressure on with his leg spinners. College battled to 157/9 before Laurie Apps played superbly for his 69 not out, astutely managing the strike and fluently steering College to safety on 205 all-out.

Graeme College batted positively in search of the runs, but their loss of wickets kept College on top in the afternoon. Graeme closed out the drawn match on 122/7. Well done to both teams for their courageous efforts on a very warm day in Makhanda.
