The St Andrew’s College and DSG Cultural Tour has been enjoyed by our pupils and they have been traveling through Europe enjoying the sights, art, drama and museums in a number of cities. A group of 35 tourists accompanied by Ms Baker, Ms Potgieter and Mr Whitfield had an amazing time in London enjoying shows at the Globe Theatre and West End. Highlights included visits to The British Museum, The National Gallery and the Tate Modern. Our Drama students were privileged to take part in a theatre workshop at the Globe Theatre.
THE FUN AND LEARNING EXPERIENCE CONTINUES… Members of the Cultural tour continued their exciting journey and caught the train from Kings Cross Station in London to Edinburgh. The group enjoyed a tour of Edinburgh Castle on arrival and then a host of amazing Edinburgh Fringe Festival shows and museums. Highlights included the Scottish National Gallery, meeting the cast and directors of brilliant productions as well as meeting renowned British historian, Alice Loxton. The group has loved exploring the beautiful and vibrant streets of this amazing city.
BERLIN HAS BEEN AMAZING! The St Andrew’s College and DSG Cultural Tour groups move on to Germany and we spent a day taking in the many historic sites of this complex and richly diverse city. The Brandenburg Gate, East Side Gallery, Checkpoint Charlie and everything in between. Drama students enjoyed an improv workshop, art students have loved the rich culture of public art in the city. The group enjoyed a performance of Cabaret on our last night at the Tipi Am Kanzelramt. What a treat!
