The Youth Chinese Test (YCT) is an international standardised Chinese language test, which is directed at examining non-native primary and high school students’ ability to apply Chinese language in their studies and daily lives.
Six St Andrew’s College Grade 9 boys from Mandarin Second Additional Language class wrote the Youth Chinese Test on 12 November 2022 at DSG.
This written test is made up of four levels from YCT Level 1 to Level 4. All Grade 9 Mandarin pupils wrote Level 1 test, which consists of listening and reading parts. The total mark is out of 200 marks.
