Cricket: St Andrew’s College vs Kingswood College

The St Andrew’s College 1st XI lost the toss on Saturday versus Kingwood at City Lords. Kingswood’s Matthew Collett (82 of 103 balls) made it tough for the College bowlers steering Kingswood to 251 all out in 62 overs. College continued their positive approach and were intentional from the start of their run chase. College kept going, but in the end the match ended in a draw with College on 245/9, 6 runs short of victory after 53 overs. These two teams first met on Crawhall as U14s in 2019, in that match Kingswood College declared on 325/8 and St Andrew’s College were 322/9, in what was also a drawn match – this  bodes well for an exciting tussle for the year ahead.

The club had a good day and all the players showed grit in the humidity.
