Ishan Panchal awarded Honours for Service

Congratulations to Ishan Panchal who has been awarded Honours for Service.
Ishan has epitomized that type of College boy who is not necessarily the celebrity, soloist or the front man, but who, through determination and unabashed love of his interests, his peers and this special place, has strengthened the fabric of College’s cultural life through his service.
Ishan has created opportunities for others to perform and be acknowledged, which is a rare and selfless skill. His diverse contribution is represented by his CEMA Merit award for Chapel Choir and Colours awards for First Aid and Community Engagement. All his involvement during his time at St Andrew’s has been characterised by service. He has managed this extensive and committed involvement while maintaining outstanding academic results in his A Levels.
Ishan has been involved in First Aid for three years and has volunteered for over 160 hours. He has been part of the leadership team and helps to organise first aiders for fixtures, working behind the scenes to ensure that sports matches are always covered, even if this means that he needs to step in at the last minute. Ishan has also helped in the library as a library monitor and has initiated projects there for the benefit of College boys and other local schools.
Ishan has worked tirelessly on projects through the Interact Club and the Community Engagement office throughout his time at College. He has championed Community Engagement this year, leading by example in his participation and commitment to projects. Ishan has proved himself as an effective administrator, inspiring motivator and intelligent leader.
He has been part of the Environmental Issues and Cultural Committees, has participated in Maths Olympiads and has been part of the Astronomers Club, Copernican Society and Alchemists Society.
He uses his abilities to assist in planning, to create efficient systems and to innovate. He is a most deserving recipient of the Honours Award for Service.
