This performance on 23 June was followed by the first installation of Asakhe’s African music project entitled Ingoma YoHadi (The Song of the Harp) at the Cathedral, which moved the audience to a standing ovation.
Asakhe was also the youngest Standard Bank Ovation Award Panelist for 2022 which adjudicated performances across the Fringe programme varying from dance, theatre, music, comedy and many others.
