Hockey action against Queen’s College

The St Andrew’s Hockey Club travelled to Queenstown to play in a highly contested and exciting day’s hockey. It is always a tough outing, with long travelling distances and competing against the Queen’s sides, who play with flair and quick counter-attacks. The College defenders across the board were very good on the day and restricted the Queen’s goal-scoring opportunities.
St Andrew’s played 8 matches, won 4, drew 2 and lost 2.
The highlights for the Club were:
The U16C team performance winning 3-1, including excellent performances from Benjamin Coventry and Mark Were.
Peer Lidsba’s defense for the U14B side.
