A number of St Andrew’s College runners have started competing in the weekly 5km Parkruns in the botanical gardens. The route is considered to be one of the tougher routes in South Africa. For three weeks in a row, a St Andrew’s pupil has won each race. Zack Fletcher and Dylan Heurlin have both won, while Andrew Holmes placed second in an impressive time under 22 minutes in the most recent race. Dylan, in particular, should be pleased with his latest result as it means he is one of only 14 runners (since Parkrun began) to have run a sub 20-minute race over the set course. Well done to all of these boys.
