The St Andrew’s Academy Introduction Camp took place recently. The Academy pupils spent a weekend at Assegaai Trails. On the Friday evening they spent time creating vision boards, which will be displayed at the Community Engagement classrooms where it will serve as a reminder to each pupil on why they do what they do every day. The commitment and sacrifices involved in attending the Academy every afternoon are all steps that pave their journey.
On the Saturday the group took on a 14km hike and later enjoyed team building activities, a potjie competition where Mr Des Alcock was the guest judge and the pupils enjoyed his beautiful music.
The reflection session on the Sunday was a great motivation. Goals for the year and for the future were set. After a year of uncertainty and almost losing the academic year for the Academy pupils, the camp served as a reminder of Nec Aspera Terrent.
