Rugby win for College

On Saturday the rugby club took a trip to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) to take on one of our tougher rivals, Grey High School. The day was always going to be tough and the weather was really bad at stages.

The College boys dug deep and gave it a good go. The U14 age group had a tough day and lost their games but the lessons that they, and the U15s learned will be so valuable going forward. The U15Cs managed a hard fought 5-5 draw. The U16s are always competitive in this fixture and they didn’t disappoint with a gutsy victory for the As 16-10. The senior club played well and managed a draw for the 3rds and an excellent comeback win for the 5ths.

The 1st XV played well and used the weather conditions better than their opponents. The final result was 26-23 to St Andrew’s College which was an excellent result and all the boys and the school can be proud of the 1sts efforts. The 3 stripes points came from the boot of Sam Francis and tries by Oliver Rose, Sam Francis and 2 from Cameron Rafferty.

Well done boys on an amazing result.
