Single Focus Day

History

The Grade 8 History classes spent their Single Focus Day exploring various historical landmarks around town. They visited the Cathedral, the Provost, the Albany Museum and Amazwi (the national literature museum and archive).

The Grade 11 Geographers went on a field trip along the outskirts of Makhanda (Grahamstown) to see features like mesas, cuestas, and tors. The theory was covered in class and the Grade 11s were able to apply the theory and draw sketches of the various landforms.

The trip also included views from the top of Mountain Drive and observing the road cuttings along the N2 to see how the mass movement in the area has been managed.
