Sir Henry Strakosch donated money to College to encourage and reward excellence in Science and Mathematics. Once a year, the Headmaster allocates a Strakosch Scholarship to each of two Grade 11 and two Grade 12 boys at his own discretion.
The Scholarships are worth R 15 000 each. The Grade 11 awards are made to the boys with the highest aggregate of the Grade 10 Mathematics and Physical Science Promotion Marks.
In Grade 12, one of the awards is made to the boy with the highest aggregate of the Mathematics and Physical Science Grade 11 Promotion Mark in the IEB stream, and the other to the boy with the highest aggregate of Mathematics and the best of either Physics or Chemistry in the Cambridge AS Examination result.
