The Induction of the Prefects for 2020 took place last night in the St Andrew’s College Chapel. The service began with a very special presentation of the Mullins family bible. Mr Dave Mullins, a descendant of Reverend Robert John Mullins spoke about the family history and their connection to St Andrew’s College and presented a most precious artefact, the Mullins bible, to Headmaster, Mr Alan Thompson entrusting it to the care of College. The bible was blessed by the Chaplain and it will be kept in the Thomas Mapikela Debating Chamber where the history of the Anglican Institution is preserved.
The Induction of the 2020 Prefects followed and The Headmaster, Mr Alan Thompson and Chaplain, Father David Stansbury encouraged the prefects to exercise their office to the best of their ability. They are to be servant leaders who strive for righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness, and good leadership, through Jesus Christ. It was a moving service for the prefects and their parents. We wish the prefects everything of the best for the year ahead.
