During the holidays, Max Gifford took part in two Zambian National enduro off-road racing events, one in Mkushi and one in Livingstone. These are part of an annual series comprising of six races which are hosted all over the country and these 2 races were round 4 and 5 of the series.
The Mkushi track was 24km long, with a mixture of technical and high-speed racing. Riders had to complete as many laps as they could in 2 hours and Max managed to complete 4 laps.
The 33km Livingstone event was far more technical and riders were limited to only doing 2 laps as each lap took almost an hour to complete.
Max was placed 1st in his class for both these events and he won bronze category for technical in the Livingstone event.
