College pupil qualifies for the Mare Nostrum Swim Series in Europe

St Andrew’s College swimmer Martin Wolmarans is currently competing in the Mare Nostrum Swim Series in Europe. This week he took part in the first of the three leg series, in Monaco. The second leg takes place in Caneten-Roussillion in France from 11 – 12 June. Martin is carrying the College flag high as he competes against the best swimmers from across the world.

Martin qualified for the Mare Nostrum series from his performance at the Senior Nationals in April, where he broke his own Eastern Province 50m Open freestyle record, regaining his spot as South Africa’s fastest 16-year-old 50m freestyle swimmer.
