The Grade 12 Business Studies and Accounting pupils participated in the Johannesburg School of Finance Banango Traders Simulation Game this week. This is one of their portfolio pieces and a lot of hard work was done but there was also a great deal of fun. In the Accounting competition four of the College/DSG teams broke the national record for the amount of profit made. The members of the winning team which made the most profit were Callum Francis, Tom Russell, Nic Rogan and Dylan Wilson.
The Grade 12 Business Studies pupils along with pupils from Kingswood College participated in a business simulation game run by the Johannesburg School of Finance. The very competitive entrepreneurial game focused on starting a retail outlet and the aim was to make the most profit. This day also constituted part of the Grade 12 portfolio marks for Business Studies for the year.
The winners of the game were Guy Murray, Andrew Clucas, Shaylen Ackermann and Basi Malesu and in second place William Hall, Nicholas Rogan, Andrew Coxwell and Miles Danckwerts.
