The relay component of the Senior Inter-House Maths Competition was held on Tuesday evening in the D&T Centre. Each House entered a team of four pupils – two from Grade 10 and two from Grade 11 – to vie for the coveted title of Inter-House Maths champions. Teams not only had to contend with the “out-of-the-box” nature of the Olympiad-style questions, they also had to think carefully about team strategy and distribution of workload, all done under constant pressure of time. In addition to the relay component, results from the first round of the SA Mathematics Olympiad were also incorporated into the final score. Graham was the overall winner this year, and they proudly take the title of Senior Inter-House Maths Champions of 2019.
