Michael Velozza has achieved the Gold Standard of the President’s Award.
He has completed 72 hours of community service, which included organizing a soccer day with the local schools within our community, helping with the Coaching for Conservation programme and initiating the tutoring student-to-student programme.
His sporting commitments were Golf, Squash and Hockey.
The Grade 10 John Jones Fish River Journey qualified as the Adventurous component of the award.
Michael’s skill was debating and he has attended two international Model United Nations conferences and one provincial championship.
His residential project was an academic programme at Oxford University in the UK, where he completed a short course on politics and economics. Here, he was able to interact with over 300 students across 33 different countries during his month in the UK.

Jordan van der Meulen has achieved the Gold Standard of the President’s Award.
He has completed 73 hours of community service, which included helping at the school swimming club, tutoring pupils, Nombulelo and Tiger Titans soccer day, various school events and litter pick-ups.
Jordan’s skill was acquired as he is a committed member of the Chapel Choir.
His sport commitment was Tennis.
The Grade 10 John Jones Fish River Journey qualified as the Adventurous component.
Jordan’s residential project was obtained through two organizations, Ocean Blue Foundation and ORCA foundation in Plettenberg Bay. Both projects included litter pick-ups along the coastline and monitoring seal, shark and whale activity in the area.
