Grahamstown Schools’ Cricket Festival

The Grahamstown Schools’ Cricket Festival began on Wednesday 9 January 2019. Matches are being played at various venues around Grahamstown.

St Andrew’s College played a pre-festival match against Hoërskool Menlopark on Lower Field on Tuesday.

Menlopark made 248 all out (Z Stoop 114, Tom Vermaak 3/39).
St Andrew’s were 142 all out (James Mullins 44, S Strydom 6/38 including a hat trick).

 

 

 

 

 

For their first official match St Andrew’s College faced St Andrew’s School (Bloemfontein) on Lower on Thursday 10 January. College won the toss and selected to bat, making 244 all out (James Mullins 62, Guy Rushmere 69, R Cronjé 4/83).

St Andrew’s School, Bloem 180/9 (Ryan Ford 4/18, Nicholas Frances 3/59, R Cronjé 90). Match drawn.

 

 

 

 

 

St Andrew’s College are in a match against St Alban’s College today on Lower Field and will be playing a match on Lower Field tomorrow again the Stanley Cricket Club.
