As part of the Grade 10 Design class the boys designed a 3D Land Rover, which they handed over the Mr Thompson this week.
The history of the project started as a Labyrinth Day project (about the wheel) this year. We as a class started to talk about vehicles and Richard Morris told how he remembered his interview with Mr Thompson in Grade 8 which was all about Land Rovers. Therefore, we decided to design 3D files of a Landover as part of the project in the Grade 10 CAT class.
We used the free software google sketch up and searching the internet also for downloadable 3D parts of 3D design of a Land Rover. Mrs Joha Dreyer has helped us with the setting up of 3D Printer to print these files. This is a project where a Grade 10 class of two different subjects (CAT and D&T) were integrated (including staff members) to complete the first 3D model.
