Now entering a fourth year of successful collaboration between Paul Cluver Wines and the Thembalitsha Foundation, Hope@PaulCluver is a community-based performance series which uses the arts to increase hope for the eradication of poverty. Attending a performance at the Paul Cluver Amphitheatre means you see world-class artists in one of the most intimate and gorgeous venues in South Africa. It also means that you are directly supporting Thembalitsha Foundation’s work to restore hope and transform lives in the local Elgin and Grabouw communities.
On Saturday 25th February, the well-known College musical duo of Francis Christie (guitar & vocals) and Zuko Yaka (keyboard) performed for just over half an hour to a very large audience. They were the warm-up act before the famous Watershed band took to the stage. Although our boys were very nervous before they started, the gig went well and they were enthusiastically received. They both felt they had made a valuable contribution to the laudable aims of the charity and they were undoubtedly excellent ambassadors for College. Well done, Francis and Zuko!
