Inter-house shooting

It has been ten years since the Inter-House Shooting was decided on Air Rifle as the specific discipline.

All houses competed in the Drill Hall, and the competition ran very smoothly considering that very few boys had ever shot air-rifle before. 461 boys and 31 members of staff shot the competition, using 492 targets, and 4920 rounds of pellets.

The help rendered by the Shooting Specialists was invaluable, and assistance from Mr Andrew for the use of the Cadet Armoury to store rifles and pellets was greatly appreciated.

We congratulate every boy who shot. None failed to try, and the remarkable degree of co-operation and willingness made the competition memorable and successful.

• The winner of the Staff medal is Mr Harold Hobson with a score of 74.
