20th Anniversary Designer-In-Residence

This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the founding of the Arthur Cotton Design & Technology Centre at St Andrew's College.
This unique, inspirational design centre was established in 1991 as a vehicle for enhanced learning and creative design and technological study and is the leading centre of its kind in South Africa.

The Designer-In-Residence programme has, for several years, brought leading designers from various fields to Grahamstown and to St Andrew's College and DSG to share their experience with the senior design students.

Kyra van Winkel, an Interior Designer from Johannesburg and the daughter of the Director of the Centre, is the 2011 Designer-In-Residence. Her design interest varies from: Interior Design (corporate and commercial), Architecture and Graphic Design . Kyra has worked on projects for Alexander Forbes, Cell C, Nedbank, Primedia/Warwick and iBurst, just to name a few.

She will be teaching at the Design Centre on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 September.

Anyone interested in design is invited to attend a special adult workshop on Friday 16 September from 8.20am - 10am in the Design Centre.
