Jono Gibbs (Grade 10 at St Andrew's College - wearing a red jacket in the photos), together with friends from Bishops and Herschel, summitted Mt Kilimanjaro on January 12 2011.
The boys were coaxed, cajoled, encouraged and dragged up the hill by Mike Nixon (one of the Dads) and his climbing partner Andre Bredenkamp . There was a group of 9 teenagers, this being the last of the 7 summits that Mike and Andre have now done together - although both had summitted Mt Kilimanjaro previously, but separately.
Well done Jono - a fantastic achievement and a wonderful holiday adventure.
