Nelson Mandela is the patron of the Mandela Rhodes Foundation, the organisation that administers the Mandela Rhodes Scholarships. As far as possible the Foundation tries to organise all the Mandela Scholars from across the country each year to meet him. Clive Eley was one of 28 Mandela Rhodes scholars that met Madiba at his office in Houghton recently.
