The Classic Clash between Graeme College and St Andrew’s College on Saturday turned out to be a one sided affair. The end result being a convincing (76 – 0) win for the home team.
Graeme however did have opportunities in the first half and were the first team that could have crossed the line, had they not knocked the ball on in the St Andrew’s 22 with an open try line.
The St Andrew’s College XV were able to absorb much of the early pressure and quickly close down any subsequent attacking moves from the opposition.
The forwards were once again hugely influential in the game. They were able to hook four tight-heads and disrupt almost every lineout that Graeme had. The result was a large amount of possession which then gave the backs a chance to run in some scintillating tries.
