St Andrew's beat Graeme College in the Annual FNB Classic Clash
Date : 12th May 2009

St Andrew’s College continued their dominance over Graeme College when they beat them in the annual FNB Classic Clash on Saturday 9 May 2009.

St Andrew’s ran in with seven tries, five of them in the first half, two no tries by Graeme. St Andrew’s looked rusty after a long holiday, but got their footing very soon. James Price showed great form and scored 22 points.

Just when it looked like St Andrew’s College was going to run away with the game, too many handling errors and bad decisions were made. In the second half St Andrew’s struggled to finish off some brilliant moves. A lack of match fitness showed when they could not get to the break down and dominate the contact area. Too many turnovers were made. In this time Graeme really did play well.

Justus Luttig was the pick of the St Andrew’s pack. He gave them lots of go forward and was outstanding on the defence.

In all not a bad performance by St Andrew’s College.
Final score for the first team game was:

SAC 47 GRAEME 6
