Craven Week is an annual Rugby Union tournament organised for schoolboys in South Africa. The tournament is sponsored by Coca-Cola and took place in East London this year.
Three St Andrew’s players were selected to represent the Eastern Province Country Districts (EPCD) team at Craven Week; they were Brian Skosana, Grant Prior and Robin Murray, who did College proud with their excellent performance during this recent rugby tournament.
In the first match against the Leopards, Brian Skosana and Grant Prior were in the starting line up. Both players had an outstanding game with Brian scoring two tries. The one try came from good interplay between the two St Andrew’s players.
During the second game Skosana scored another two tries and this was his best game. Robin Murray had a great game in the front row, scrumming against bigger and older players than himself.
Unfortunately Brian was injured and could not play in the last match, however, he earned a place in the South African Schools Team which will play matches against England, Italy and Argentina.
