A new exam system is always testing for staff particularly and pupils. St Andrew’s College and the Diocesan School for Girls (DSG), Grahamstown, gained brilliant results in the internationally bench marked IEB matric exam. The two schools share classes from Grade 10. Pupils study the South African curriculum and are assessed independently by the Independent Examination Board.
Gareth Glyn, Cameron Mackenzie and Grant Pollock (St Andrew’s College) gained seven subject distinctions.Wesley Bell, James Boyd-Moss and Sheldon Maze gained six subject distinctions.
“These results, after a year full of growth and development, are outstanding by any measure and are a reflection of the professionalism of the staff and the commitment of the boys.” concluded David Wylde, past Headmaster of St Andrew’s.
