Boys on detention must report to Mr Searle at the DRILL HALL 3.00 pm this afternoon in BLUES.

Boys on detention must do the work that has been set for them during the detention session.

Bring along the Andrean Handbook book to write out school rules once your work is done.

No ipods and no sleeping during the detention session.

Boys not able to make the Friday detention must excuse themselves with a valid reason from Mr Ireland before lunch TODAY.  

 

CHINA/VIETNAM TOUR: There will be a very important meeting at 1.30 pm in A V Major (SAC) on Friday. If possible, please bring along a copy of your passport that we can keep on file. Air tickets will be booked within the next two weeks and we need copies of passports by then. (TM)

 

RETURN OF PASSPORTS AND AIR TICKETS TO TRAVEL OFFICE: Please return your passports and air tickets to the Travel Office as soon as possible for safe-keeping. (AH)

 

CHURCH ON SUNDAY: (Fr Gary)

Upper, Graham, Mullins are to go to the Cathedral for a Eucharist. You must be seated by 9:20am.

Espin, Armstrong, Merriman you will not have Morning prayer as per calendar. Instead you will have Evening Prayer at 6:30pm.

 

GRADE 10s:  Don’t forget to hand in your Journey equipment order and indemnity forms by today!  You can hand them in to your group leaders, to Mrs Gardyne at DSG or slip them under Mrs Scott’s office door. (KC)

GRADE 8 LO: MR EKSTEEN’S CLASSES: (WE)

We are following a new schedule and will be completing all your LO classes and related work within the first two cycles of the term.

There is a complete list of your class times at the tuck shop notice board where the daily notice is posted. YOU MUST MAKE A NOTE OF THESE DAYS AND TIMES, AND YOU WILL MEET AT THE AV MAJOR FOR ALL THESE CLASSES.

 

GRADE 8 A BOYS must remember to be at the cooking class at 11 o'clock today for D&T - bring your recipes with, please?  (TS)

 

BOBBINS' POETRY PRIZE: It's time for the Poetic Champions to Compose. All entries for the Bobbins Poetry prize must be submitted TODAY. Entry forms can be collected from the notice board between N6 and N7. Be inspired. (AR)

 

MUSIC, DANCE & DRAMA

 

JAMES GRIPPER: (SR) Please see Mrs Rocher in her room at 11:10 today.

 

AUDITIONS: This year we will be doing a dance performance in conjunction with the orchestra for prize-giving. We will need approximately 16 dancers, both male and female. SPORT, CADETS & FIRST AID

 

INTERHOUSE BASKETBALL takes place on Sunday.  House captains are to meet Mr Barnard at 11.05 pm at the staff common room. (TB)

 

SWIMMING: Please will all the swimmers who are registered for Aquabears try to attend swimming training from 4.00 pm to

5.00 pm today. Other swimmers are also welcome. (RVB)

 

CROSS COUNTRY: All boys who are off sport must meet Ms van der Merwe outside admin at 6.00am on Saturday morning. You will be assisting with marshalling. (FvdM)

ATHLETICS:

• U14 trials start at 8.30am on Saturday morning. Make sure you are on time.

MAKANA BRICK GROCOTT'S CYCLE TOUR: (AM)

Cycling enthusiasts please diarise Sunday 19 September at 07h30. If you are interested in participating in an 80km or 34km ride on the Cradock Road on either your road or mountain bike, please collect an entry form from Mr Maffessanti.
