NEWSFLASH: Stretching for thousands of kilometers across the desert terrain of southern Peru is one of mankind’s greatest mysteries: immense lines etched as animals, humans, and geometric shapes. To read more about this topic see the National Geographic, March 2010.

FRIDAY EVENING ROUTINE : (ACS)

May I ask all boys to please adhere to the following routine for Friday evening.  Things have become quite loose and unfortunately some boys have been taking chances.

·         5.30 pm           All boys must be back from town and shower before supper

·         6.00 pm           Supper followed by cheer-leading practice

·         7.00 pm           A formal Prep Session or legitimate cultural activities such as Debating

·         8.00 pm           Boys may visit other Houses, play touch rugby, watch TV, order take-outs, etc. but may not leave the campus under any circumstances.  Only First Teams may have team meetings until 9pm.

·         9.00 pm           Roll Call in Houses and prepare for lights out.  (Matrics may visit other Houses or Gym until 9.45pm when they must return to their Houses.)

·         9.30 pm           Lights out for Grades 8 – 10.  (Grade 11 and 12 must please not disturb the House until their lights out at 10.00pm and 10.30pm respectively.)

IMPORTANT:  TRAVEL LISTS FOR END OF TERM/RETURN IN APRIL: (AH)

  • Please would everyone consult the lists on the notice board outside the Travel Office and make sure they have a booking home at the end of term and return in April, if required.
  • If you do not, please come into the Travel Office to see Mrs Eksteen of Sure Go Travel so that she may consult your parents about your bookings or please ask your parents to make the necessary bookings and forward them to travel@sacschool.com
  • Please note this is urgent as all bookings should have been in by 4 March.
  • Please would all those who require bus transfers only to Port Elizabeth come into the Travel Office and arrange these now.  No requests will be accepted after 19 March unless there has been a last minute emergency change of plans.  Please therefore consult your parents about whether they plan to collect you or not.
  • House lists will only be put up in your Houses a week before the end of term along with the bus transfer lists.  All of you have at least one lesson on the College side and should be able to spend a few minutes checking the notice board for your flight bookings.
