It was a joy to host Grey on Saturday. The 1st XI stumbled in the tough batting conditions but bounced back and produced an inspiring fielding and bowling performance. Matthew Pope led the attack with his 3/31 in 15 overs and was well supported by Malcolm Macgregor with his 3/23. The game went down to the wire with Grey needing 5 runs with 9 wickets down. This was followed by 5 overs of intense play, in the end Grey held their nerve to win by 1 wicket.
The 6th XI lost by 2 wickets in another tight encounter on Baxter field.
The 5th XI won by 2 wickets chasing down 166 on St Aidan’s field.
The U15A and U14A teams were up for the challenge and produced the better cricket on the day securing comfortable victories.

Unfortunately, despite a valiant effort to play the matches at Grey in PE, the matches were abandoned without a ball being bowled.
Well done to all the cricketers and coaching staff on a superb day of cricket on the College campus.
