SCHOLARSHIPS and BURSARIES
ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS 2010
Several academic scholarships are awarded annually for boys entering Grade 8. Recipients are pupils who have excelled in our Scholarship examination which is written early in the year. Candidates must be in their Grade 7 year when they write this exam (ie.will turn 14 in Grade 8).These scholarships range in value according to whether they are minor or major scholarships. The financial position of the parents is not taken into account in the awarding of scholarships, but scholarships may be augmented by a bursary in certain cases.

BURSARIES:
Bursaries are awarded to boys who wish to attend St Andrew’s College, but for financial reasons are unable to do so. In awarding such bursaries, the Bursary Committee takes into consideration the boy’s potential to make a contribution to the life of St Andrew's. Such contributions may be academic, sporting, as a leader in the school community, and in such fields as art and music. The financial position of the parents is a major factor in the awarding of bursaries. Applications must be submitted before March in the year prior to your son's proposed entry to St Andrew's.
