NEC ASPERA TERRENT . EMBRACING NEW FRONTIERS
Welcome

Founded in 1855, St Andrew’s College in Grahamstown is an innovative independent school that embraces new frontiers. This premium Anglican boarding school caters for 450 pupils from across the globe. From Grade 8 to Matric, pupils experience individual attention with a focus on fostering individual talent.

The school is passionate about ensuring that each boy is schooled for life, develops character and strives to reach his full potential. The school motto is Nec Aspera Terrent (Difficulties do not dismay us) - this ideal of fearless acceptance of challenge sums up what the school aims to instil in its pupils as preparation for future life.

St Andrew’s College enjoys a unique co-ordinate relationship with our neighbouring sister school, the Diocesan School for Girls (DSG). Classes are shared by boys and girls from Grade 10-12, while retaining the distinctive features of life in a boys’ school and a girls’ school. The resources and strengths of each school, and sound relationships, are optimised through co-operation and interaction.
